Well the snow is gone for the most part . It is still cool out but the camping is great and also the fishing is great too on or off the shore. I just wish i felt better . We have about half of the campground filled and this is only Saturday so come on out for some fun . Just have to watch were you walk because the wildlife are letting you know that they are still around here . There have been a few Elk and Moose going down to the lake for a drink so please stay away from them and you will be just fine . Come on down and enjoy camping and the wild life too.

Let's see now . . .I got here at the campground on May 8th and then on May 15th I had to make a mad run back to Kansas because my favorite Uncle passed away. Now I am back at the campground but here is what I found when i got here .
The first one was taken from bus window as we were going over a pass. I don't like it but it will work .
This was taken while we were stopped in Livingston , Co. picking up people .
I am on my way to the trailer just outside of Missoula , Mt.
Near Philipsburg , Mt. on Hwy1
My camper in the campground . There were also five campers here when I got here too and one of them was putting his boat in the lake to go fishing too. The picture below is the steps on my trailer so you can see how deep the snow was when I got here . There was eight inches of snow .There was also four trees down that I had to cut out of the way in loop B too. Green trees too.

Well today was Mother's Day and about 7 pm Montana time I was outside eating supper and there were three Moose coming though the campground on theur way to the lake for a drink .I got my camera and here is what I saw. Earlier today I had some friends drive up for a visit and to check out the campground. As we were talking there were two other Moose that came by . It was a cow and her yearling. Awesome! So the wildlife is here but you just have to be careful and let them have their space .

I am the new camphost at Phillipsburg Bay Campground at Georgetown Lake (near Phillipsburg and Anaconda, MT). The campground is officially open on May 17 so come on down and enjoy it with me! I look forward to visiting with all my friends and making new ones too!! I love being back in Montana! I got here on the 8th day of May and have been busy getting the camp cleaned up for you to go camping . A loop is now ready and Monday I will work on getting B loop in shape too . As of now even thou we are not open we have four campers in the campground! So come on let's make some plans to come out to camp or just visit . Here are some pictures I got as Iwas coming in the area . There will be more as the summer goes on .
I was on my way trying to find the campground at about 6:30 am and here I came around a corner and there were a lot of Elk feeding so i stopped and took this. As soon as the flash from my camera went off they all left.
A view of the Lake with the Mountions .
Another view of the Lake from the boat landing .
This is what stopped me from getting in when I finally found the campground. You can see from the picture below I made a way in and I. am here now . The weather is cool at night but does warm up to about 70 in the daytime .
